A native Jacksonian and licensed broker, David Blount joined the commercial division of The Overby Company in 2012. David has served in a leadership capacity on committees of the Mississippi Association of REALTORS. His work with The Overby Company focuses on commercial sales and leasing in the Metro Jackson area.
David is serving his fifth term in the Mississippi State Senate, where he represents Jackson, Byram, and Terry (District 29). He is a graduate of Leadership Jackson and a member of the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership and the Byram Business Association. He has also served on the board of directors of United Way of the Capital Area and the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
David and his wife Katie attend St. Andrew’s Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Jackson. Whenever possible he enjoys Mississippi Mud Monsters baseball games and walking the dogs.
